A&E can charge this reduced rate because we are able to work with you to make the necessary phone connection and to program your system to communicate with our central alarm monitoring station. We provide you with the necessary instructions and also we test to insure that the alarm system is working correctly. The only additional fee is the one-time $25 hook-up fee that covers our administrative cost and technical support to bring your alarm system on-line.
According to security experts, homes and commercial establishments with security monitoring are over 10 times less likely to be burglarized. The vast majority of law enforcement officials believe that home security monitoring is an effective deterrent. Most insurance companies agree and offer an additional discount on homeowner’s insurance if you are protected by a home security monitoring system.
Who Provides This Security System Monitoring?
A&E has partnered with Emergency 24 to provide the alarm monitoring because of their speed of response, reliability and experience. In independent surveys by industry trade publications, Emergency 24 is consistently rated by more security professionals as the most preferred home alarm monitoring company in the country. The company is fully licensed, bonded and insured.
Emergency 24 is the only security monitoring company that offers free on-line access to view and/or change subscriber information. For additional information, see Emergency 24.
How Does the Home Security Monitoring System Work?
The security panel is connected by the phone line to Emergency 24’s security monitoring service. When your alarm is triggered, it automatically dials Emergency 24. A home alarm monitoring representative then returns the call and asks for your personal secret pass code. If no one answers or if the wrong code is given, Emergency 24 notifies the police immediately. The alarm monitoring representatives maintain an up-to-date list of your local police, fire and medical facilities, as well as the names and numbers of family and friends to be called in an emergency.
